Boosters go to work for Habitat for Humanity

A group of Booster Club members joined a crew from Habitat for Humanity of North Central Connecticut on June 22 and July 20 to work on two of the houses that the nonprofit is building in East Hartford.

“This experience consisted of hard work, teamwork and great support,” said Booster Club member Sandy Stollerman. “I particularly liked that I was working with a young lady who was possibly working on her own home. She was so thankful and full of hope for her and her families life. It made my work very meaningful.”

“Even though I went to the build site with no experience or skills, I was welcomed warmly and immediately felt like part of the team.  When the day was over I felt like I'd helped a family inch closer to their goal of owning that home,” said club member Julie McKenna.
